CEA was created by three young yet experienced entrepreneurs who love music and entertainment but felt the residents of the Okanagan were missing out! CEA's mission is to create energy, happiness, and an escape from the day-to-day grind. We prioritize hosting several music events every year to bring together friends, family, and community.

 

Starting in 2023 CEA will be delivering large scale concerts and festivals for thousands of people to enjoy. With over 40 years of industry experience, Canadian Events Agency (CEA) will plan and execute your event so you can enjoy the event alongside your guests stress-free. CEA specializes in weddings, corporate, music events of all sizes, and nonprofit events. With access to top DJ's, comedians, musicians, bands, solo artists, and more, your event is in the right hands.

 

CEA works tirelessly to bring fresh ideas to their clients and brilliant talent to create unforgettable memories. Their unique events and entertainment are tailored to you and your guests' personalities. CEO/President

Shawn Atkinson

Shawn serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of CEA, managing the overall operations and resources of the company. As an experienced entrepreneur from a young age, Shawn lends his expertise to various areas, including talent management, website design, marketing, community engagement, sponsor partnerships, and event management.

 

Shawn works directly with the CFO to allocate capital in a prudent way that is not only important for the company's continued expansion across Canada but equally as important; he focuses on events that will bring the community together. Shawn believes a company can only be as successful as its willingness to give back through nonprofit endeavors. 

 

Shawn's ability to harness critical relationships is a testament to his character. Shawn's experience has provided an opportunity for him to work with several celebrities over the years, showcasing his ability to build relationships regardless of status and deliver successful large-scale events right here in the Okanagan. You won't find Shawn in a corner office; if an event is taking place, he is the first one on the ground, ensuring the event stays on track and runs as efficiently as possible.

CFO

Lindsay Sparrow

Lindsay serves as Chief Financial Officer for CEA, providing prudent oversight of the company’s financials and event budget management. Clients making a significant financial investment in planning large-scale events with CEA can have peace of mind that their events will be executed as planned, with the highest quality control measures in place.

 

Lindsay’s 20 years of experience in finance, working as a certified financial planner (CFP) and within large corporations, brings expertise in negotiations, budget planning, and unique insight into what corporations are looking to achieve within their corporate event planning. 

 

Lindsay has an extensive background working with foundations and nonprofit organizations. Lindsay can lend her expertise to corporate clients and nonprofit organizations from a financial perspective as they plan their events with CEA. Lindsay will ensure clients achieve a fantastic event that stays within budget and maximizes potential tax planning and sponsorship opportunities.

DJ Operations

Cory Rollings

Cory serves as Vice President of Operations and Marketing for CEA, overseeing the efficiencies of CEA’s multiple service lines. As lead of CEA’s DJ strategy and artist relations, Cory brings 15 years of industry experience to guarantee an energetic, professional, and seamless experience to customers looking for an exceptional DJ for their event. Cory recruits and vets the top DJ’s across the country to add to CEA’s roster of musical talent. Cory continuously strives to bring our audience a party to remember, mixing songs that bring our customers back to their youth, well delivering new beats and a fresh sound. 

 

Cory has always loved marketing and has spent years designing eye-catching promotional materials. His marketing expertise serves our clients by creating hype and excitement for their events. Marketing can be an afterthought for clients as they balance their workload heading into an event. CEA’s commitment to its clients is to produce marketing pieces that will attract high attendance and ticket sales.
